• Press

/ to select the function de-

sired and press OK.

“VALIDITY”:

Here you can determine for how long your

network operator should try to send a mes-

sage. The standard value is one day.

Use the numbers keys to set the value from

1 to 7.

After you have selected the setting

• press OK.

“Service no.”

The network operator’s service number must

be entered in your set before you can send

a message.

If you send a message, it will be sent to the

service number provided by the network

operator and forwarded from there to the

recipient.

Contact your network operator to receive the

service number and enter it here.

Network selection

In areas which are served by more than one

network (e.g. in foreign countries), it is pos-

sible to select the network you wish to use.

• Press

/ to select “Network sel.” and

press OK.

Under “Available” you can view a list of the

networks currently available.

Under “Search method” you can select be-

tween automatic and manual network

searches.

Under “Pref. list” you can edit the priority list

of preferred network operators.

• Press

/ to make your selection and

press OK.

Available networks

• Press

/ to select “Available” and

press OK.

After a short waiting period a list of the avail-

able network operators will appear in the

display, e.g.

Press / to select another network and

press OK to confirm your selection.

“Registering in the list” will appear in the dis-

play. Press CL to cancel, press OK to con-

firm your selection.

Search method

• Press

/ to select “Search method”

and press OK.

Automatic – The home network is al-

ways the first choice. If you

are located in an area

which is not served by your

home network, the tele-

phone will automatically

register with the next avail-

able network. The networks

will be selected according

to their priority in the net-

works list.

Manual – You can select your own

network in a manual

search.

Press

/ to select the search method,

press OK to confirm.

An arrow will indicate the current selection.

The antenna symbol indicates which net-

work the telephone is registered in.

– Connected with home network

– Connected with roaming network
